Alanya has something for everyone when it comes to entertainment, from sports and games to a vibrant nightlife.
Of course, one of the first things to come to mind when you see the pristine beaches of the Mediterranean is water sports. There are many places where you can rent wind sailing boards and jet skis as well as motor boats and sailboats for fishing or for a relaxing afternoon on the water. You can even join in a game of beach volleyball if the mood moves you. And if you’d like to explore the ocean wildlife, there is a Deep Dive Center where you can rent scuba equipment .
There is also a unique bowling and billiard establishment called Universal Bowling where you can enjoy bowling on alleys equipped with a special light and sound system. It is open year round and also features facilities for birthday parties, meals and tournaments.
If you like nightlife, Alanya certainly has it! Most of the discos and bars are located on the harbor. Since there is no cover charge it’s easy to drift from place to place and enjoy all that the harbor has to offer. People often spill out onto the street to dance and socialize till the discos close at 3am. After that, if you still haven’t had enough, there is free transportation to a disco just outside the city limits. Queens Garden Bar is a great place to start while Latino Club is a popular place to dance to good salsa music.
Sundays and Mondays are considered “party nights” during the tourist season. No matter what kind of music you like you’ll find it; rock, pop, salsa, techno and Turkish music make it easy to find a place to hang out and listen to your favorite genre or try something new.
For fun in the daytime, you’ll enjoy the Alanya Water Park, situated in the middle of town and just five minutes from the beach. There is a large swimming pool and a variety of slides for people of all ages.
